"I met the author at a convention (his Heisenberg cosplay is perfect by the way). The story in this book was awesome. Troy, the main character, makes for a very relatable person who is then suddenly thrust into the unknown on a strange planet. There are enough twists and turns to keep you guessing throughout, and just like Troy you never know who to believe or trust. My heart was all over the place with each character. The ending left me wanting more, and I can't wait to find out the fate of everyone involved."

The main character, Troy, is a very paranoid individual that basically expects the worst in any situation, but all of that changes in a short time, largely due to very human like aliens on a mission to Earth. I won't go into any more of the story, you should really read this for yourself.
As an avid reader of science fiction for many years I enjoyed this book and can't wait for book 2. Well written with great characters, each of which has a purpose to the story.
The story flows from chapter to chapter with none of the boring side stories that are in a lot of books. Honestly, when the second book is finished I may re-read this one again before I start the second.
